More subtle signs of damage can be documented with a professional inspection—you should have your roof inspected twice a year to check for potential issues.

There are a few signs that indicate it's time to replace your roof:

1. Age: Most roofs last around 20 to 25 years. If your roof is approaching or exceeding this age, it may be time to consider a replacement.
2. Curling, buckling, or missing shingles: Shingles that are curling or buckling can be a sign that they are past their life expectancy. Missing shingles can also leave your roof vulnerable to leaks and other damage.
3. Granule loss: Look for granules in your gutters or at the base of your downspouts. If you notice a lot of granules, this can be a sign that your shingles are breaking down and may need to be replaced.
4. Leaks: If you notice water stains or moisture in your attic, it may be a sign that your roof is leaking. A leaking roof can cause significant damage to your home, so it's important to address the issue promptly.

If your roof was damaged by natural weather conditions such as a storm, hail, or tree damage, there’s a good chance your roof replacement will be covered by your insurance. The warranty can be transferred during the surestart warranty period which is during the first 10 years of the roof installation, warranty transferred within this period will be limited to 40 years for the landmark shingles and 50 years for the landmark pro shingles. Depending on the roofing package selected the first 5-10 years will cover any workmanship problems. The warranty also covers any damage done by winds or gusts below 110 mph. It covers the replacement or cleaning of any blue-green algae that appears within the first 10 years. For more limitations and information check out this link. 

Depending on the service package you select will determine how long the warranty lasts. Our bronze package starts off with a 5-year workmanship warranty.
